PCBA production requires basic equipment such as SMT soldering paste printer, SMT machine, reflow oven, AOI machine, component pin shearing machine, wave soldering, tin furnace, plate washing machine, ICT test fixture, FCT test fixture, aging test rack, etc. PCBA processing plants of different sizes are equipped with different equipment.
1.SMT printing machine
Modern solder paste printing machine is generally composed of plate mounting, solder paste adding, embossing, circuit board transmission and so on. Its working principle is: firstly, the printed circuit board is fixed on the printing positioning table, and then the left and right scrapers of the printing machine transfer the solder paste or red glue to the corresponding solder plate through the steel mesh, and then the PCB with uniform printing is input to the SMT machine through the transmission table for automatic SMT.
2.Placement machine
SMT: also known as “Surface Mount System”, in the production line, it is configured after the solder paste printing machine, is a device by moving the SMT head to place the SMT components accurately on the PCB solder plate. It is divided into manual and automatic.
3.Reflow welding
The reflow contains a heating circuit that heats air or nitrogen to a high enough temperature to blow onto the circuit board already attached to the component, allowing the solder on both sides to melt and bond to the motherboard. The advantages of this process are that the temperature is easily controlled, oxidation is avoided during welding, and manufacturing costs are more easily controlled.
4.AOI detector
The full name of AOI (Automatic Optic Inspection) is Automatic optical Inspection, which is an equipment that detects common defects encountered in welding production based on optical principles. AOI is a new emerging testing technology, but the development is rapid, many manufacturers have launched AOI testing equipment. During the automatic detection, the machine will scan THE PCB automatically through the camera, collect the image, compare the tested solder joints with the qualified parameters in the database, and check out the defects on the PCB after image processing, and display/mark the defects through the display or automatic sign for repair personnel.
5. Pin cutting machine for components
Used for cutting and deformation of pin components.
6. Wave soldering
Wave soldering is to let the welding surface of the plug-in plate directly contact with high temperature liquid tin to achieve the purpose of welding, its high temperature liquid tin to maintain an inclined surface, and by a special device to make liquid tin form a similar wave phenomenon, so called “wave soldering”, its main material is solder bar.
7. Tin stove
In general, tin furnace refers to the use of electronic welding in a welding tool. For discrete components circuit board welding consistency, easy to operate, fast, high efficiency, is your good helper in production and processing.
8. Washing machine
It is used to clean THE PCBA board and remove the residue of the board after welding.
9. ICT test fixture
ICT Test is mainly used to Test the open circuit, short circuit and welding of all parts of PCBA by contacting Test points of PCB layout
10. FCT test fixture
FCT refers to a Test method that provides simulated operating environment (excitation and load) for the UUT: Unit Under Test, enabling it to work in various design states, so as to obtain parameters of each state to verify the function of the UUT. Simply put, it means that the UUT loads the appropriate excitation and measures whether the output response meets the requirements.
11. Aging test stand
The aging test rack can test the PCBA board in batches. The PCBA board with problems can be tested by simulating the user’s operation for a long time.
