I. What are the methods to measure the reflow oven profile?
1. Use the long thermocouple wire that comes with the reflow oven itself. One end of the thermocouple wire is soldered to the PCB board and the other end is plugged into a preset thermocouple socket on the unit. Place the board in the furnace and when the board comes out of the other end of the furnace, use the thermocouple wire to pull the board back out of the outlet end. The temperature profile can then be displayed on the unit’s monitor while measurements are being taken. Generally, reflow ovens are equipped with several K-type thermocouple sockets, so several thermocouple wires can be connected to measure the temperature profile of several points on the PCB board at the same time.
2. Use a small temperature tracking recorder. It can follow the PCB to be measured into the reflow oven. The logger also has several thermocouple sockets so that several thermocouple wires can be connected. The temperature data stored in the logger can only be analyzed in a computer or output from a printer after it has been removed from the oven.
3. Temperature tracking logger with wireless data transmission. The same as the second method, but with a wireless transmission function. When it is in the furnace temperature measurement, in the storage of temperature data at the same time the data is transmitted wirelessly to the outside of the receiver, the receiver is connected to the computer.
II. Measurement of reflow oven need to pay attention to those aspects?
1. When putting the test board and the memory device together into the furnace, pay attention to the distance of the memory device from the test PCB board in more than 100mm, so as to avoid heat interference.
2. Reflow oven furnace in the boot half an hour to reach the thermal balance of the furnace, so the requirements in the opening of the furnace at least half an hour of operation before the temperature profile of the test and production.
3. The temperature curve printed out in accordance with the preheating temperature time, reflow peak temperature, reflow time and the rate of temperature rise and fall of the comprehensive consideration of adjusting the equipment to meet the requirements of the temperature curve, due to the different thermal capacity of the test points and characterize the performance of the reflow furnace temperature inhomogeneity factors, the temperature curve of the three test points will be a certain difference.
4. The temperature curve of the record: in addition to the printout of the temperature curve, to show the range of the parameters required and the actual value, the set value of the equipment, the distribution of the test point location and the direction of the test board into the determination of the time and the results of the judgment.
5. Frequency of measurement: In principle, once a week, but also in accordance with customer requirements when individual customer requirements are implemented, in the setup changes, product changes, depending on the need to carry out the temperature curve test.
